How Good, Lord, To Be Here!

Brothers and Sisters,

ELW 315 (LBW 89) is a popular hymn for Transfiguration Sunday.  I have always loved the text,  but the setting never spoke to me.  If you like the old setting, may it continue to bless you.  If you’d like to try something new, my new setting is a type of contemporary Cuban guajira.  It would go well with congas, guiro, bell, maracas.  I hope the setting speaks joy to  you, and perhaps it will help you rethink the message of the text again.

It is not yet recorded and doesn’t even have a CCLI number yet, but the lead sheet for the congregation and the piano vocal score with chords is available on my website under sheet music.

Peblejah!
